Jaffna is the Capital of Tamil Language and we realize it – Consul General of India said:

Jaffna is not just a town or a city, it is the capital for Tamils, said Mr.A.Natarajan, the Consul General of India in Jaffna. He made this remark at the 2nd day of the 13th International Tamil Conference organized by the International Tamil Cultural Movement in Jaffna on 6 August 2017.

While addressing, Consul-General said:

We all know that the World Tamil Cultural Movement is functioning in several countries. It is good that the Movement is conducting the event in Northern Province of Sri Lanka this time. Jaffna is not just a town or a city. It is the capital of the Tamil Language. That is how we feel.

I feel proud to know that nearly150 million Tamils are living in many countries. Our people have migrated to many countries from Northern Province. These people not only think of their personal lives but also think of keeping up our mother tongue Tamil and Tamil culture. This makes us proud.

Whenever I visit foreign countries I notice that the people who displaced from this place are living not only as Tamils, but also live and maintain our culture and traditions as well as to make their mother tongue proud.

We should be kind to others. There is nothing equivalent to love. Love has neither door nor lock. Love is simple. If we share love with others, the whole world would be cultured and joyful.

If we want to be kind to others, we should first have character, humility, modesty and peacefulness. Let us be kind to everyone. Because Tamils’ culture is the most beautiful among the cultures of the world.
