A native of Olakkur near Tindivanam in Tamil Nadu, he holds a master’s degree from the University of Madras.

As a Foreign Service Officer, served the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) and Indian Missions/Posts abroad handling wide-ranging subjects and tasks.

Before arriving in Jaffna in March 2018, was working at the East and Southern Africa Desk in MEA.

Lives with his wife; his two children studying in India.

Currently a Ph.D student of Tamil University researching on India’s maritime traditions.
