Scholarships for Sri Lanka: 195 scholarships are offered on behalf of Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) to Sri Lankan students, under various scholarship schemes. While filling in the forms, the candidate must specify the course he/she wishes to pursue such as (i) certificate/diploma (ii) undergraduate degree (iii) postgraduate degree (iv) doctoral research work. ICCR does not provide scholarships for MBBS/BDS courses.
Ayush Scholarship Scheme: This scheme is meant for BIMSTEC and Non-BIMSTEC member countries. Under this scheme 50 scholarships are provided to pursue courses in Indian traditional medical system such as Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy. The BIMSTEC countries covered are Thailand, Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, and Myanmar.
The scholarships are administered through the Ministry of Higher Education, Govt. of Sri Lanka.

Indian Universities /educational institutions are autonomous bodies and have their own eligibility criteria for selection/admission. Applicant must have good knowledge of English language.
Before filling up the online application, applicants are advised to consult the ‘Handbook of Indian Universities’ available with this Consulate, and refer to the lists of courses offered in various universities to ensure the availability of their choice of courses in India.
