Fourth “Siddha Medical Camp”

1.As part of the activities to commemorate Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, Consulate General of India, Jaffna along with Provincial Department of Indigenous Medicine, Northern Province jointly organized the fourth free “Siddha Medical Camp” at Don Bosco Tech, Murunkan, Mannar on 20th March, 2022 under the banner of ‘Siddha for all” campaign.

2.The medical camp attracted an overwhelming response. A total of 188 patients from all age categories visited the camp and received free medical advice, free health check-ups and free Siddha medicines for their ailments.

3.The ceremony was concluded by the address of Shri Raakesh Natraj, Hon’ble Consul General who emphasized the role and benefits of Siddha medicines on a wholistic and natural way of identifying preventing and curing diseases. The concluding ceremony was co-chaired by Mrs. A. Stanley De Mel District Secretary, Mannar, (Mrs.) K. Jebanamaganeshan, Commissioner, Provincial Department of Indigenous Medicine, Northern Province and well attended by more than 75 people including Community Medical Officers & Siddha doctors.
