Cultural programme aided by Consulate General of India

1. The Consulate General of India in Jaffna gave a grant-in-aid of LKR 3,00,000/- to Ahila Ilankai Kamban Kazhakam for organising a debate programme on “Ramayana” on March 01 at Durga manimandapam in Jaffna.

2. Over 500 people participated in the programme in which Illangai Jeyaraj, Professor Sivalingaraja and Dr. Aru Thirumurugan presided over as judges and two teams led by special Indian speakers Prof M Ramachandran and Mr. Bharathi Krishnakumar debated on the topic.

3. Consul General S.Balachandran presided over the function and gave away a cheque for LKR 3,00,000/- to Dr.Ratnakumar, Secretary of Ahila Ilankai Kamban Kazhakam.
