Bharatanatyam dance programme

1. The Consulate General of India in Jaffna gave a grant-in-aid of LKR 2,50,000/- to Natya Kala Kendra of Jaffna for organising a Bharatanatyam dance programme on Maha Shivaratri (Feb 21).

2. Accordingly, Natya Kala Kendra organised a programme in which dancers from Natya Kala Kendra, Narthana Kshetra, Ponnalai Chandra Bharathakalalayam, Neervaiyoor Ponsakthi Kalakendra and Velayudham Narthanalayam had participated and enthralled the devotees assembled at Sivabhoomi Thiruvasaka Aranmanai. Consul General S.Balachandran presided over the function and gave away a cheque for LKR 2,50,000/- to Dr.Krishanthy Raveendra, Director of Natya Kala Kendra.
