Observance of Actor Sivaji Ganesan’s 18th death anniversary

The Consulate organized a programme to observe the 18th death anniversary of chevalier Sivaji Ganesan this evening (21st July 2019) at the consulate premises.

Over 100 fans of the actor, which included the local intelligentsia, participated in the programme.

The programme started with a floral tribute followed by a showing of a video compilation on the actor, a mono act by Master Agaran and local artistes performing popular songs from the actor’s films. Consul General Balachandran and retired Sri Lankan Foreign Service Officer Mr. Tharmakulasingham addressed the gathering and honoured the performers.
