To coincide with the 70th Anniversary of India’s independence and the Annual Nallur Kandasamy Kovil Festival 2017, the Consulate General of India in Jaffna has planned to organize the following events.
i. An lndian film titled: MOM (Tamil Version) would be screened for general public at Raja - 2 Cinema Theatre at 2.30 PM on Saturday, 12th August 2017 in Jaffna.
ii. A Violin Concert by Manjunath Brothers, Bangalore (lndia) at Sangliyan Thoppu on wednesday, l6thAugust, 2017 at 6.30 PM (Entry free).
iii. A Workshop-cum-Performance would be conducted by Manjunath Brothers at Sri Kandasamy Kovil Hall at Vavuniya on Thursday, 17th August 2017 at 10 AM (Entry free)
iv. A 10-days' Book Exhibition from 12th to 21st August would be held at the premises of Health Office, Point Pedro Road, Nallur from 10 AM to 10 PM daily. The Exhibition being organized by the lndian Consulate in association with the Jaffna Municipal Council and Publishers from lndia and Sri Lanka - Kavitha Publication, Karpagam Puthakalayam and Aruna Publication (lndia) and Poobalasingam Book Depot (Sri Lanka).
