Online visa application
Visa applications are submitted at Indian Visa Application Centre (IVAC),IVS Lanka Private Limited(IVS), No. 145, Temple Road, Jaffna. The IVS Lanka Private Limited has been authorized by Consulate General of India, Jaffna to accept these applications, collect India visa fees (as applicable) and IVS visa processing charges of LKR 48.00 only per visa application and return the Passports to the applicants after due process. Normally, the processing time for visa applications submitted by Srilankan nationals residing in Northern Province is 72 hrs provided their applications/passports. Documents are in order.

1. The appropriate e-Visa facility to India is only available in Government of India website;www.indianvisaonline.gov.in and all applicants desiring e-Visa for visiting India may only apply through this website.
2. It has, however, been brought to our notice that many fake websites have cropped up offering Indian e-visa to Sri Lankan and other foreign nationals. Such fake websites not only misguide the Sri Lankan and foreign nationals but also in some cases dupe of their money etc. The list of the fake websites that are offering fake-visas are:

Student visa applicants may kindly check with the Consulate whether the Institute in which they intend to seek admission in India, has been approved or not for granting of visa before applying/seeking admission/ paying fees.
